Africa '08 Blog

          I think it's finally here! It appears I will be in Nairobi, Kenya with Africa Inland Mission for 2 and a half months beginning June 4th! It is good to finally start to get excited about this trip now (after working through the frustration and God's lessons). I'll be getting a newsletter out soon...but thank you all for all your prayers up 'til now; however, I ask for you to continue to pray for me as I prepare for the trip with logistics and getting my finances in. Updates will be coming soon and often for Africa '08!

           God has taught me a lot even as I prepare for this trip. Through the frustration of figuring out what exactly I should be doing this summer God's direction was "fuzzy." I didn't know if the difficulties I was facing was because He was closing a door or if He wanted to teach me perseverance and patience. It taught me a lot about knowing God's voice, direction, and trusting Him through everything. I am certain now that this is what God wants me to do, and I can't wait to see how He's going to use me in Africa '08!!
